Location. The Villa Galilee is a boutique hotel located at the top of Mount Canaan in the town of Safed, Israel, within 10 kilometres of the Sea of Galilee and one kilometre of Safed city centre. Safed train station is located one kilometre from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Villa Galilee is built in a Provencal, French boutique style, with wicker furniture and French Impressionist paintings offset by oak and mahogany wood. The hotel is set amid the forest and mountains of Mount Canaan and is encircled by the Sea of Galilee. Villa Galilee offers a range of massage treatments and body wraps in the health spa.
A complimentary Israeli buffet breakfast is served daily. The Bistro Restaurant serves French influenced dishes and a bar serves cocktails.
Yoga is available at the Villa Galilee, as well as a sauna and spa tub. There is a flower garden and a rest area furnished with lounge chairs.
Guestrooms. There are 21 air conditioned guestrooms decorated in Provencal style. Rooms extend to balconies facing mountains and the Sea of Galilee. Amenities include wood framed beds, premium cable with 32 inch LCD televisions, DVD players, desks and wireless Internet access. There are tea and coffee making facilities and the bathroom is fitted with a hair dryer.
Expert Tip. Visit the town centre of Safed, located one kilometre from the hotel. The highest town in Israel, Safed is one of four Jewish holy cities and features cobblestone streets leading to a number of synagogues, particularly in the North of the town.
